On Friday, local school administrators stepped outside of their buildings and into the community to learn more about the programs, services, and partnerships available to support student and family wellness in Mercer County.

Through conversations with local agencies and community partners, administrators gained a deeper understanding of the resources available to help remove barriers and strengthen connections. This collaborative experience highlighted the incredible network of organizations working together to ensure students and families have access to the support they need to thrive.

Thank you to our community partners for sharing your expertise, your passion, and your commitment to Mercer County families! Together, we continue to build stronger connections between schools and the community we serve.

What is Flag Day? Flag Day, celebrated on June 14, commemorates the Second Continental Congress adopting the Stars and Stripes as the official U.S. flag on June 14, 1777. While observed locally in the late 19th century, it was officially established by President Woodrow Wilson’s proclamation in 1916 and signed into law by President Harry Truman in 1949.

When Mother Nature changed the plans for park day, Alex Grieshop at J&M Manufacturing stepped in and turned disappointment into an unforgettable experience!

Alex graciously welcomed the boys for a tour and made them feel like kings. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and for making such a positive impact on these students!
